It was probably inevitable that somebody was going to capitalize on the memes and the attention beginning to propagate in the English-speaking community about Shipgirls. Be it Victory Belles, Kancolle itself or some other property.

Azur Lane is being released in English.

All I know about Azur Lane, I've seen in Kancolle fan art where the artist has done some crossover, so that isn't much. Given that it's a phone game, and that the character designs I've seen in that art haven't done much for me, I'm probably not going to be excited about this.

Which is not to say that nobody else is allowed to be! But it's probably not really going to be Source Material.
