I was just looking on Amazon at a figure of a Touhou character who is a crow tengu. The product listing didn't mention that anywhere, you would just have to know anyway.

But as soon as I did so, the "you might also like" list at the bottom of the page started featuring a lot of books with titles like The Secret Life of Birds.

If you go by fan art, Aya's secret life seems to consist mainly of voyeurism and bullying her underlings, which, to be fair, isn't that far off from real journalists.

That’s a trait of most Tengu in the setting - they all apparently have their own newspapers that they publish to push their own agendas and spread gossip. In a slightly more advanced world, they’d all by bloggers. Aya’s Just the only one you really see because she’s the only one who’s interested in what the shrine maiden and her harem is up to. :)

There's also Hatate, but her magical power is basically Google Image Search, so she doesn't have to go out as much.
