Those are nice, Remilia's is a bit more eye catching with that half corset-y accessory. Though the picture itself causes some cognitive noise, the girls look adorable, but also like they're 10 at the oldest. Kind of a common issue for Scarlet art though.

This just adds to the seemingly universal truth that all maids in Japanese media are somehow weapons of mass destruction, either directly or by association.

It looks like the uniform is a touch too large, which implies Remilia even prevented Sakuya from altering it to keep her from doing any work that day.

I’m pretty sure it is, yes. Still, I’ve managed to play four of the damned things so far without breaking my wallet... it is entirely possible to have fun with them without ponying up cash.

If I had to speculate, and I do, I'd guess it's a convergence of the whole red-and-white thing. Plus I think the Japanese tend to regard Christmas as a couples' holiday too.

Considering that without Gryphon's teachings, the three oldest of them would quite likely be retired with power burnout at this point, I'd guess that they aren't anomalous at all.

Yeah, the 501st seem to be outliers even in canon. I haven't seen the third series, but even by the time of the movie, Minna and Trude ought to be at the end of their careers. (They've also never lost anyone KIA or too badly wounded to return to action, although in at least two cases I can think of offhand, that's literally only because they have Yoshika.)

Mind you, the JFWs are supposed to be elite special detachments, so you would expect them to have lower turnover than regular line units, but since we never actually SEE ordinary outfits in the source material, that's only speculation.
