The same story where Robot-in-a-suit-guy pops up also reveals that Cobblepot, being dead, has left the Iceberg Lounge and various other belongings to his kids. His TEN kids.

Yep. Penguin is dead(mercury poisoning) and he had no less than ten children. Which...bwuh?

As that quintessential poet Falco once put it, "Er war ein Mann der Frauen, Frauen liebten seinen Punk."

Well, yes, rather clearly so. But, there's never been ANY sign of that, anywhere, in Batman, to my(admittedly limited) knowledge. I suppose there might've been about 20 minutes of stress relief here and there with a number of women, but then it sort of makes it hard to imagine him being interested enough to acknowledge them?

Yeah, I know, comics, retcons, etc, but this feels like a REALLY massive change.

Well. Make that a very large change of something minor? If that makes sense? (Edit)

I thought his minors were the very large change.

I feel like that line is probably Kei's equivalent of "Heheh. Let's go practice medicine."

Either that, or he's Heat Guy J's evil lawyer cousin.

Welp I found another one song and actually official video that reminds me of UF like core UF
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF2PrtDjR50
Band: Beast In Black
Song: One Night in Tokyo
'DARK CONNECTION'
pretty sure the whole album is inspired by Armitage III polymatrix

Beast In Black are awesome! I prefer their more fantasy-inspired albums, but yeah, they're a bunch of big ol' anime nerds so of course they make Awesome Anime Music. Even their name is a reference to Berserk! So that's neat.

In similar vein: Have some similarly Ridiculous Power-Inflected Metal from longtime costumed weirdos Ghost.

"Kaisarion"
Album: IMPERA (2022)

"Spillways"
Album: IMPERA (2022)

Also, not gonna lie, Ghost and their whole shtick slot into UF suuuuper easily. One wonders if they're Gun Church dudes who got accidentally exposed to near-lethal doses of Band Kid Energy. =]

Given Ghost's particular shtick, I'd say there was nothing "near" about it; they simply got reanimated by the same experience that killed them. They are now liches fueled by their Need to Perform. (Possibly related to Baron Zoria and his Circle of Horns.)

Compare the Protomen, originally a resistance cell (with both human and runaway Buma members) on some GENOM-occupied world during the Wars of Corporate Occupation before the entire group suffered heavy Band Kid Energy exposure.

TWRP, on the other hand, feels like they sprang fully-formed from the very fabric of the Universe, already emitting anomalously high levels of groove. (I'm having trouble coming up with a capsule story for them, but their genre directive of "optimistic 1980s Halifax Space Future" is extremely compatible with the origin and underlying fabric of UF.)

Dimensional crossover due to an incident involving a Funkotroni starfleet officer doing some after-hours experiments?

I mean, their own ‘canon’ story already slots in pretty well to UF, if you ask me.
