After a fashion, yeah. Friday in the comics was kind of a glorified electronic organizer; she kept Tony's appointment schedule, made excuses for him when he was off being Iron Man, and so forth. The TIA version is mainly responsible for managing the StarkWire server farm, which is a somewhat less involved job than, say, controlling the system functions of the SDF-17's FTL processing cores, yeah. The states of the art in computer science, uh, vary somewhat from universe to universe. :)
