Mm. Don't get me wrong, now, I like ol' Hap, but in a scenario like TIA's, he and Jim Rhodes pretty much serve the same function, character-wise. If one of the two had to be left out, Rhodey made a lot more sense to be the one staying in, what with his connection to Iron Man's early adventures in Vietnam. Plus, Rhodey just seemed to fit the overall scheme of the TIA universe better. As a decorated military pilot, he has more realistically useful skills to a futuristic tech company than an ex-boxer.

And, yeah, I have to admit, Pep's just more fun without him around.
