I'm not as long-time a fan of Tony as you are, so the majority of my Happy memories (not all happy Happy memories) are from post-Heroes Return. During that time he seemed to be not only the biggest generator of angst in Pepper's life, but also the biggest block between her and Tony hooking up -- which, pre-Rumiko, seemed ideal to my neo-fan eyes.

No real slam at Hap' Hogan intended, but your Pepper Potts really, really shines without him!
