Being thoroughly unfamiliar with Iron Man was probably an advantage for me, because the background wasn't a re-hash at all. I found it very interesting, in fact - very easy to visualize, and I like the concept of the Iron Man suit being a mixture of high-technology and old-fashioned steel and rivets.

Overall, I enjoyed this more than the first chapter of TIA, probably because the characters (and the interactions between the different groups) are now more fleshed out.
