The five stages of unexpectedly absorbing something new into UF:
1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Combination bargaining & depression
4. Picturing the characters as a band
5. Acceptance

No, I mean literally envisioning characters (often who are not canonically musicians) performing music.

In this case, it involved picturing Kaban and Serval from Kemono Friends fronting the Leo Moracchioli cover of Bloodhound Gang's "The Bad Touch", which is doubly incongruous because "The Bad Touch" is one of the lewdest songs in pop music and those two are the most wholesome and adorable couple in the entire history of crypto-lesbian subtext.

From the realm of Leo covers, I submit this as more fitting to the source material while still causing a few raised eyebrows.

"'The Bloudhound Gang's <insert song> is one of the lewdest songs in pop music' is a statement that always evaluates as TRUE"

Given that there are three different fox Friends just in the first season of the anime, the potential for confusion is real, and also amusing.

I'm impressed by their ability to write lyrics that are so clever and so moronic at the same time. I mean, "Love, the kind you clean up with a mop and bucket / Like the lost catacombs of Egypt, only God knows where we stuck it"? Tellin' you.

But how would they watch X-Files?

Although I suppose it is certainly possible in the context of UF...

That's... probably not the biggest question raised by this application of that lyric, if I'm honest.

True, it is definitely not the biggest question. But with that to mull over, it seemed a safe enough question to start from. :)

Kaban: lead vocal/rhythm guitar
Serval: lead guitar/backing vocal
Shoebill: keyboards
Tsuchinoko: ANSI standard retiring-but-insanely-talented bassist
Rockhopper Penguin (formerly of the PPP idol group): drums
Jaguar: shades

if you were curious

Speaking as an observer of the process, that sounds about right.

>Scarlet Devil Musicians.

Oddly enough, the stages model didn't apply this time. This time the process sort of went straight from "hullo, who's this?" to "ah christ it's 5 AM again".

That usually means something. I'm not sure what, but something.

Having watch the full spread of TFS Hellsing Ultimate Abridged way too many times, every time I see/hear "Ah christ!" I think of Alucard's response of "You dun goofed". Which could be the meaning, but in a good way.

Having recently shotgunned all of TTW, I can tell you exactly what it means.

You got yourself a very special bunch there. Take good care of them. ;)
