I know what the official Paramount policy is (similar to the Lucasfilm policy), so there's really not much more to debate, other than perhaps listing personal preference.

Anyway, Nyota Uhura is much better than the Uhuru Uhura I recall from one or more novels and/or novelizations (I don't recall where, exactly; the Wikipedia article gives three other names, including Nyota).
