"What the hell? He had a vampire sandwich and didn't invite his actual vampire love slave?! C'mon, Saya, we're gonna go and straighten this out."

"Uh, with all due respect, Your Majesty, you're on your own. I don't even know him that well."

"Oh, come on! Where am I gonna get my other slice of bread? Fine. Hey, Jubilee, wanna be a vampire? It'll only hurt a lot."

"Yyyyyyeah, no, did that once already. Wasn't my favorite. And it hosed my 401K."

"Dang it, nobody around here has any sense of adventure."

"Waaaait a minute, I thought you said you were models."

"We are models! Digital cameras are a miracle of science."

Next thing you know, you're all three out there robbing blood banks to support their habit...

Actually, this could make a pretty amusing movie premise. They don't make screwball caper comedies any more...

Pfff. When I was at WPI, a couple of the local crystal gazers sat me down one afternoon and solemnly told me that they were Very Concerned because I had no aura, which meant I had been born without a soul(???) and, unless drastic measures were taken, could be used as a conduit to the physical world by Dark Entities.

(Much later, this turned up as the plot of the Green Arrow reboot series Kevin Smith wrote. I've always wondered about that. I guess it's a Stock Trope in certain circles and I just wasn't aware of it.)

I can only assume that the Dark Entities in question were mainly anime characters, and that's why I've spent the last 29 years(!!!!) in thrall to (gestures vaguely around) this nonsense. :)

"You know the "Metropolis is destroyed" scene in Man of Steel? That's actually based on my high school graduation."

No, I don't think I've heard this one.
