Just adding a title translation note for Act I. Strictly speaking, La Maison Écarlate just means "The Scarlet House", not "Mansion" (that would be manoir, not maison), but after some consideration I decided that maison flows better and chose to go with the mild mistranslation for purposes of poetic license.

If you like, imagine that when Victor originally moved to the area and built it, it was considerably smaller than it is now, and though it grew into a proper mansion over the intervening centuries, he never changed its name.
