If nothing else, it would be a more discreet way of providing a little snack service to your vampire honey in a public setting where a spot of tonsil hockey is expected (say, the corner booth of a nightclub) than that overt neck-biting business.

(Which reminds me, that's the one thing I can think of which is specific to VtM that's in Gallian Gothic—the thing where vampires can heal small wounds on humans by licking them. It's in Act IV.)
