Has that been shown? I had thought it was just a matter of a combined time and dimensional jump (and that G always planned to aim his eventual return to his home reality to be very close after his time of departure, much like he plans to pop back to the night of his Jeep crash when he's ready to leave SDM and get back to the war.)

I expect that's maybe getting near to "don't investigate this too closely" territory, as we're all wont to do around here. It must do wonderful things for Gryphon's blood pressure.
