It was true of the Split Infinitive universe, in which more time passed while he was there than had gone by in his "home" reality when he returned (so really, in absolute terms he's several years older than his "official" age of 438, but he chooses not to screw around with that math), but since in this instance he was displaced both across and linearly in time (to another universe AND 1946), the point is kind of moot. He's going to have to make another diagonal jump to get "home" either way, not just straight across as he did to and from SI.
