Heh, believe it or not, I thought of that when I was writing that note, and decided, eh, minor detail, nobody will mind. What was I thinking? :)

It's worth noting that in the 17th century, when Maine was chartered by the British, the area that is now Nova Scotia was part of a French colony, Acadia. So Maine's equivalent in the OWaW world would still have been the easternmost part of the Britannian dominions in North Liberion when it was chartered as the Province of Dawnland in 1665.
