Ah! The bit where the knights refuse to believe in the murderous ferociousness of the cute little white bunny, despite the multitude of gnawed skeletons surrounding it.

This annotation is the point where I finally figured out the logic behind the name of the in-story analogue of Phantasy Star Online. Exchange a fantasy for a dream and a star for a moon, and you've got Dreaming Moon Online, the game that's based on the planet that's based on a game. ^_^

I've been puzzling about this, every time Phantasy Star Online was mentioned in these annotations (several times since Janice Barlow's introduction in Symphony 1). I can't believe I didn't get that until now.

Since I didn't know her character, I had to figure it out from the same clues.

Croawhatnow? <Google, google, google...> Ah, I knew I'd seen that word before.

Heh, you had Hunted Rose, Hunter Rose, and now Rose Hunter.

It's reminiscent of the line in Per Ardua, where Dorothy launches a Klingon boarder into a wall at mach speeds and remarks, "I've just discovered that I -hate- to be awakened in the middle of a dream."

Clearly that was for humorous effect and Miki doesn't have to fear suffering the same fate, should he roll over in the night and accidentally jostle her awake.
