Oh, he went through his Ultimate Dipshit phase, have no fear. It's just that afterward he went back to Earth, got his shit together, etc. As an older, wiser man, he was actually one of the lead scientists on Operation Rebirth, the project to thaw out Steve Rogers after the United Earth Navy discovered him in orbit. At his age (well over 100 by then), Conrad really had no business joining the UEDF during the War of Corporate Occupation, but a man's got to do what a man's got to do.
