While I'm inclined to take Gryph at his word that there are factors of this plot proceeding (for the moment), offscreen, I do feel the need to note that, from Salusia's POV, the amount of 'pressure' required to seriously affect TechCom's priorities need not be terribly great.

Sure, Her Majesty's Government (as opposed to Her Majesty, who may well owe any given Sterling a favor) probably isn't going to do more than ask a polite question and maybe clear a discreet throat for Mars Division's sake, but if I were a sensible, reputable mercenary, I'd break out in cold sweat at the thought of being 'Ahem'ed at by the Royal Navy.
