Fire Nation trains of the period had wheels and steam engines. The Ba Sing Se trains had stone tram cars and dudes at the back pushing. In neither case are you guys going to convince me that that's an experiential base which would make a person already battling displacement shock go, "Oh, ho hum, just a train, waiting to be impressed" in response to a 24th-century maglev shinkansen. It's just not happening. :)
