I am, as always, waiting with bated breath. Yesterday, in fact, I looked through all the Abyssal ships, curious, when that clever Thriller video got posted. I was sorta thinking that Earthforce would be trying to duplicate the Mental Model concept--not sure why--and their abortive efforts would create the disturbing Abyssal Models, just like how the more powerful Abyssals are obviously more humanoid variants of the early ships in KanColle. I wouldn't have thought of conflating the RE-class with a real-world ship, the Reckless, though. I'm pleased there's a link there.

Of course, this begs the question of what turns a regular ship into an Abyssal, but perhaps we shall see. =)
