I'm specifically thinking of both this piece and "Tyrants If They Could," wherein Azula confronts Beria in his myriad bodies and is replaced by a Muspelheim doppelganger, and the chapter after that where she's brainwashed into leading the Fire Nation contingent of Muspelheim's damned legions, with all kinds of crazy, trippy imagery.

You don't write like that a lot. But when you do your game gets UPPED. For reals.
