Hm, point - so if it's a jump pinned to a local frame of reference then maaaaybe you could eliminate most of the math in favor of some pre-built tables - which'd be clumsy as hell but that -might- knock it down into analog computer range, albeit the time-to-calculate might still require a bit of extra pep to make it work in a reasonable fashion.

I mean....if it's a truly desperate situation with incredibly high stakes...? but yeah I'd prrrrobably want a few safety measures in place. Y'know, at least a space suit, locator beacon, and some form of comms.
