I will admit stupidity - I thought New Avalon was a floating city somewhere in the Sphere. I didn't realize it was built on the inner edge of the sphere. Ok, now I get how wickedly cool the concept is...and why no one is worried about it being attacked from the outside. As long as the sun exists, the sphere exists right?

And how did Corwin manage a reflex fold from within the sphere? Damn, he must have been closer to the middle of the sphere then the edge as I initially thought.
