No, there's no direct relation. My vaguely-defined idea of what the closing days of the UF Mandalorian civilization were like formed long before there was any "official" material on the subject, and it has very little to do with anything that came from LucasArts later on. In those days, as I see it, UF's Mandalorians were kind of like a jacked-up-to-11 version of the society from Starship Troopers - an urban, established civilization with a runaway military-industrial complex that eventually destroyed it. Perhaps at some point in the very distant past, long before Jango and company were born, they were something like what we saw in Knights of the Old Republic - that's kind of what Jango's aiming for, minus the excursions into galactic imperialism, presumably - but at this point that's more legend than history, and I haven't gotten around to defining it firmly yet.
