From the Wedge Defense Force, he would probably get two medals: the Star of Avalon First Class (a medal also awarded by the IPO and other Zetan organizations, such as the New Avalon Police Department) and the Lifesaver's Cross (the latter specifically for rescuing Valeris, who would surely have perished had he not carried her to sickbay). From Starfleet, something like that would be good for at least the Citation of Conspicuous Gallantry, if not the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor. Given that part of his heroism involved continuing to work on the ship's engines despite a grievous injury, the Zefram Cochrane Medal for Engineering Excellence is also a possibility. (From either force, he'd also receive the Purple Heart, but then, so would almost everyone in the Invincible's crew at the end of that day.)

Under the circumstances, it's more likely that Starfleet will honor him, given that it's acknowledged the Invincible crew's credentials and considers them, at the very least, expatriate members of a sister service. (In fact, I didn't have a chance to mention this in Manhunt, but they will eventually be offered their rank and seniority in the UF universe's own Starfleet, an offer some will eventually take up rather than wait around eight years for the WDF to get back up to speed.) G would certainly submit him for the Pike Medal and the Cochrane Medal, and I think it's safe to say that Dr. Cochrane himself, if he read the recommendation, would do all he could to see that the latter, at least, was awarded.

Despite his Starfleet decorations, Prescott will ultimately choose to remain with the WDF; indeed, in 2288 he's chief engineer of the WDF New Jersey. (And the minis... tie together, as Derek Bacon would've said. :)
