(Yes, the Queadluun-Rau does have thrusters, but it accomplishes its maneuverability through an application of a similar principle. And you have to admit it doesn't look much like an airplane. Not that I, for one, find anything wrong with space fighters that look like airplanes - you may note that the UF universe is full of them. The more remarks like that you make, the more I wonder... :)
