Mmmmmmm, Aardvark.

It'd have to be heavily modified to make it interesting. Fusion powerplant for more power and some force field trickery only so you can get the mach number up to nutty numbers at low altitude without melting anything off the airframe (and have the crowd pleasing side effect of a pretty snazzy plasma show from the interaction of the atmosphere and the frame-hugging energy sheild at higher speeds). Finish it off with a mirror finish silver paintjob with bright blue trim and accenting and a fitting name (given how it would be flying and what the paint job would look like, 'Flying Fish' seems to be the most apt) and you could count me in. Heh.

It'd still have to have some analog to the igniting the fuel dump between the engine exhausts with the afterburners trick, because that's always just been damn cool. :)
