You have a point, but I'd go with a heavily modded Y wing (Bigger engines, strip out the forward lazers and replace the turreted Ion cannos with more powerful lazers) myself. Its not the handling I dislike about the A wing, but it has the same problem as the X wing... very little provision for off boresight targeting.

Oh, and do you know why there isn't NOE versions of Asteroid racing? Its beause that's called POD RACING. >Sic<
