I suspect it was not so much the general concept of the image as the specific nature of the image that got it rule 34'd - not having seen it myself I can't comment on details, but if Gryphon looked at it and wished he hadn't seen it, that's as good a reason as any to redact it. Besides, I also suspect that its relevance was dubious at best, which is all the more reason to can it...
