Well, sort of. The Wedge Defense Force isn't in that version.

... Ow. That's... Now all we need is 'Saxon' playing Schirra and Clarkson as Dominus in the same show, and my brain will be well and truly broken.

Man, I haven't watched that show since I left my parents place. Mum loved it, still does. I dunno if she knows it's finally reached an end yet...

It hasn't quite; the last episode airs at the end of August, assuming the various fan campaigns to bring it back don't succeed. Though the prospects don't look particularly rosy at the moment. Then again, who knows, nobody saw Doctor Who ever coming back either.

The Avalon Broadcasting incarnation is often (though not officially) called The New Bill, not only for obvious reasons but also because that's what people in the Elstree district, where Sun Hill is located, call the New Avalon Police Department. That area has so many settlers from the Vega sector's Crown Colonies it's sometimes called "Crowntown".

It could happen. I mean, that's how huge Professor Enigma is in the Sphere: Avalon 17 carries the reruns (as we have seen, that series originally aired on BBC1 in the spring of that year) in prime time during the fall new-programs block, even though most households in New Avalon get BBC1 anyway. :)

"Right now," Said Smithy, as he kept his head low, plasma and bullets flying over the top of the front desk, some ricocheting and splashing off the (thankfully) armoured front, "Right now, I really wish we hadn't had to get rid of that fruitcake Gabriel Kent."

"Smithy, he was a nutter. Pure and simple. He was killing people! Why would you want him here, now?"

"The man was a talented sniper. He was using an antique rifle and was pulling off shots that the WDF's top cyber-augmented snipers said that they admired. Can you think of what he'd have made of that lot-" he jerked his head in the general direction of the whooping gang members outside the doors- "When we got him to the roof with a decent rifle?"

"It's difficult keeping up with the cross-continuity, but I think Cosmouse just gave The Saturnian Scraphunter his Ultimate Pacifier to use against Galactapuss..."

So are these fictionalized accounts of the events in (and/or concurrent with) Outward Trajectory?

Pretty much, yeah. There's even a scene with Ragnar Ragnarsson on the roof of a truck, though in the show it's an NAPD SWAT van.

A) Good to see that M*A*S*H is still on the air in the 25th century.
B) Good to see Bobby Drake moving up in the world (last we saw, he was a radio DJ, now he's got a late night show!)

Apropos of nothing much, this made me flash to the idea that New Avalon 25 news starts at 3:54, so it can be called News Source 25 at 6 to 4.

(Yes, I know the song said 'or', not 'at'.)

“They planned their campaigns just as you might make a splendid piece of harness. It looks very well; and answers very well; until it gets broken; and then you are done for. Now I made my campaigns of ropes. If anything went wrong, I tied a knot; and went on.”

You ask so many questions.
What answer should I choose?
