Hm! So once somebody's passed the Test of Light, if the Lens is destroyed for reasons other than "no longer worthy," the rank remains.

(Either that, or the brothers Banner have a Lens with a magical one-size-fits-all wristband, and an unusual internal structure. I'm not sure which option would be more interesting.)
