Haku and Neru were both attempts by GENOM to capitalize on the Awakened Vocaloid phenomenon (It is rumored that they tried to substitute for the Vocaloid 6 driver with a STACIS engine, run with the CV01 voice bank). As these things tend to go, once they realized what was going on (and were sapient enough to act on it), they decided to ditch those losers and struck out on their own.
