The GMs themselves don't pay any attention at all - they haven't got the time. My understanding is that they only act on illegal names/costume designs when such are brought to their attention, usually by other players. (The developers and some of the GMs are known to play incognito in their copious spare time, but most reports come from busybody players and/or moles working for copyright holders.)
