Funny story there. (CAUTION: HERE BE SPOILERS!) In the first season of Discovery, he's the morally questionable Captain that likely has PTSD... until the USS Discovery ends up 'accidentally' getting stuck in the Mirror Universe, at which point it soon gets revealed that a transporter accident under weird conditions led to Mirror!Lorca getting swapped with his Prime counterpart. It's implied by the game, but never confirmed, that the transport may have happened during the bit where the player wasn't quite in time to rescue his ship. He then played up his injuries and such to help gloss over any oddities until he could work out a way back. Then he ends up properly dead.
