As my previous post should have indicated, I've been playing around with the air combat mode of War Thunder a bit. I haven't unlocked many of the more advanced aircraft yet, but I'm having a good enough time with the starting ("reserve") aircraft that that doesn't bother me too much. This one's my current favorite:

It's a Heinkel He 51C-1, the light ground-attack version of the He 51 biplane fighter, and yes, it appears that I'm flying for Karlsland, which is perfectly fine with me. I even shelled out a bit of gold to get the proper Luftstreitkräfte cross pattée on there, even though it's anachronistic; biplane or no, this aircraft was from the 1930s.

(It's really because you can't put a swastika in a computer game and then expect to sell it in Europe, of course. The German tech tree icons in Wargaming's titles all bear a very similar flag. Apologies if I've noted this already in one of the other threads. I'm old.)
