I don't think anyone really has a big guide book of game genres... especially when certain genres are so broad as to be meaningless - "First person shooter" for example. Which is somehow a different genre from "Third person shooter". Or "RPG" which somehow manages to encompass both Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect.
