>But yeah. Actually, on reflection this afternoon I figured out what they might mean. The video briefly showed what appeared to be a starmap with hyperspace lanes or links or whatever, and when I thought about it, I realized it had a familiar structure -- by Roguelike I wonder if they mean they randomly generate a set of rooms (star systems) connected by hallways (those links) for every level (map).
