I don't play Fallout 4 (though folks 'round here are slowly convincing me to give it a try), but I'll second the Telzey Amberdon series.

Which, hey! Most, possibly all, of the Telzey stories, including the ones with her partner-in-crime Trigger Argee, are available for free on the Baen Free Library.

Okay, actually, I just checked, and they're no longer in the free library. Books get rotated out as new ones come in. My bad there. But still, recommend at least checking out the sample chapters. Linky.
