I might have said that at one point long ago, but I haven't followed through on it; I mean, Shub-Niggurath had a guest appearance in a Halloween mini once, and we've seen Randolph Carter's house in Ulthar, and mention of Yuggoth.

What are still a hard "no" (and I can't see that changing) are the all-powerful mindless gods of destruction and the inevitability of madness and extinction that runs through most of Lovecraft's canon. That has no more place in UF than has its latter-day homage, the Grim Darkness of the Far Future. Creatures similar to Lovecraft's elder gods may well exist in UF, but unlike Lovecraft's originals, they are checked by other forces more congenial to mortal life. And can be defeated by the Ghostbusters, properly equipped. :)
