>King George VI of Britannia is a conflicted man. On the one hand, he
>could not conceivably be prouder of his eldest daughter for playing
>such an active role in the defense of the realm, the Empire, and
>indeed the world. It simply isn't humanly possible. On the other
>hand, he is bloody furious with his eldest daughter for eluding
>all of his attempts to keep her off the front line and otherwise
>exercise royal prerogative to protect her from harm.Well given his family would have preferred that the evacuation plans in the event the Neuroi over-ran Britannia (which would have sent them to Canada) included the King accompanying them*, I imagine the sentiment flows in both directions.
*I'm assuming, having not yet watched Strike Witches, that Neuroi occupation doesn't involve eradication of the human population and thus that remaining behind to lead a resistance movement would be feasible.
