I should point out that Phil Moy wasn't originally aware that Hannelore was supposed to be in her early forties. He was starting to sketch her out as around the age of the other Strike Witches. When I pointed out her age (with the note that she looked pretty good for said age), he had this to say:

"Well, I guess I'm going to have to MILF it up a bit."
