To be fair, the CCP is hardly the only small 9mm pistol. There is, for instance, the Steyr S9-A1, which is the same width, a whole five millimeters longer, and weighs all of 11 grams more. (And holds more than twice as much ammunition.) And of course the Glock 26, which is a tiny bit shorter than the CCP and and considerably lighter, but accomplishes that in large part by having a grip you can only get two fingers on. (The 26 also has an even smaller cousin, the 43, which is marketed as a "slimline" because it has a single-stack magazine, but in that stubby grip that means it only holds five rounds, at which point you might as well just get one of the tiny Smith & Wesson .38 revolvers.)

There are probably others I'm not thinking of right now, and that's only the ones in 9mm Parabellum. In 9mm Short (.380 ACP), there's a vast selection to choose from, and the eternal argument about Whether .380 Is Enough will provide light and heat on many a dark and chilly night. :)

>I take it you're keeping this one?

Well, I hardly think it would be worth my time to try and sell it now, do you? :)

>Also, have you heard anything about what the upgrade is?

I haven't. The recall was just announced last week, and Walther haven't shared anything about the details. That will probably have to wait until some gun blogger or another gets his back from being serviced and investigates to find out what they changed.
