I was never a huge fan, because I'm not into country* and a lot of his prime was well before my time, but my parents were fans back in the day, and I've long thought his story was amazing.

I'll squeak in with my "Who let this kid in here?!" moment of the week and admit that I wasn't aware of his singing career until fairly recently (like within the last couple years). I only really knew him for his acting roles, the more prominent one being Abraham Whistler in the Blade trilogy.

Oh, and the (disputed) story about a confrontation with Toby Keith.
