I get that; if anything, I'm thinking they might've waited a Decent Interval™. I mean, Gura's last day is May 1 and they're dropping the hype event on May 2? Read the room, you guys. Give people a day or two to stand back up. You know? Just me?

What's worse is that after ENreco 1 was Myth's event, ENreco 2 should be Promise's event. Except, well...yeah.

I don’t think Mumei would have tolerated the horseshit that goes on in NijiEN. She’d have either left immediately or gotten arrested for attempted murder. Probably of Elira, Vox, or Aster.

I mean, from all I've heard, Elira may well have been a sacrificial lamb in the whole Black Video situation, while I know that Vox is a Known Problem, and so is Aster.

(And what about Luca Kaneshiro? Why would Mumei have not renovated him in a way that would have made the This Old House crew wince if she would have done similar to Vox or Aster? Or is it just the fact of the line in front of her to do so?)

I mostly didn't mention Luca because I forgot he exists. I pay almost zero attention to niji boys unless I'm forced to by Recent News. Vox just so happens to have been in Recent News long enough that he made an impression.

As for Elira, while I'm generally loathe to listen to The Narrative, the rumblings that Elira is the head of the Mean Girl clique over there have been going on almost as long as she's *been* there. The black stream just kind of put a cherry on top.

I love Bae, but Doki really would've brought the "embodiment of chaos" to Hakos Baelz.

I've seen a lot of confusion from grey names in the chat the last couple of days, and I have to acknowledge, I get it. The trailers for chapters 1 and 2 (particularly chapter 1's) have both sold ENreco as some kind of towering fantasy action-adventure anime or something, and then what we actually get is goofy improv theater in freaking modded Minecraft, of all things. Someone not already familiar with how HoloEN does things has a right to be mightily puzzled by this apparent bait-and-switch. :)

It's certainly going to be interesting. I must admit, I didn't expect (the betrayal angle. I just figured The Origin was going to banish the whole party to The Cell and they'd have to relive Advent's escape)

I expect you're right about the ("box of puppies" level of threat, though I also feel like FuwaMoco might leave some warcrimes on the rug, now that their true nature is revealed)

I'll be honest. I didn't quite understand the gas baby storyline. ...which seemed to take up so much of this week. It was cringe.

(And then it was a chicken, and Fuwawa ate it? And everyone just kinda laughed like a bad american adult cartoon?)

Yeah, I don't think they did either. Sometimes unstructured RP just kinda gets away from you, especially when some of the participants have been at it for several days at what are really weird times of day for them.

Now that I think of it, "sometimes unstructured RP just kinda gets away from you" could arguably be the motto of this entire production. There was an awful lot of WTF going on this week.

I imagine having lost/not having some of the anchors around resulted in the more improvisational aspects to get away with them. It’s not that hard to ‘yes, and’ into insanity and chaos. ...the bad kind.
