LAST EDITED ON Jun-21-25 AT 01:20 PM (EDT) Twitter/X AnnouncementOn the one hand, fair, that rant from her was out of pocket. On the other hand, she's only being terminated to protect Aster from her accusations that he's a sexpest, because they'd have terminated people like Uki long before.

Considering that she clearly wanted to leave, it's hard to get too worked up about her being kicked out.-IA. (received information not interpretable)

Yeah I keep hearing for ages that there are a few bad blokes at Kurosanji who keep getting consistent protection from being fired even though they're absolute abusive scum who keep conspiring against other talents and forcing them into awful positions.

I can't help but wonder just what's going on with Aster. He's been the focus of a lot of accusations, as a result of which he's... just sitting there? He hasn't been fired, but he's also not streaming. Is he still making them that much money sitting in limbo?-IA. (received information not interpretable)

>Twitter/X Announcement I'd meant to put up a post on the old Kurosanji thread about this, but Twisty had already had her YT and Twitter accounts locked and wiped on Thursday, she was streaming on her indie account Friday, and the official announcement of her "termination" came in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday when the TSE is closed so any investor shock dies down before Monday morning. >On the other hand, she's only being terminated to protect Aster from >her accusations that he's a sexpest, because they'd have terminated >people like Uki long before. Yeah, I'd sort of lost track of the story with everything else going on since mid-January, but Twisty has apparently been confirmed as the whistleblower that Kurosanji announced they'd "investigate" alongside Aster being a skeevy perv. Long and short of it: She learned during a meeting at Kuro HQ that there was no investigation, was offered a settlement that she turned down, and shared audio of his being a perv during the stream explaining her apology for her..."opinions." No prizes for guessing that the pro-Niji crowd feel she deserved the termination while the anti-Niji crowd feels this was retaliation for threatening the golden goose.

Why is it exactly that Kurosanji feels the need to protect Aster and Uki so badly?

They make them a lot of money via merch. Them, Vox, and Elira at least are their golden geese on the EN side. Even with no streams, they're still raking in cash from memberships and merch from Aster, from people who are too parasocially deluded to accept that their oshis may be terrible human beings.
