LAST EDITED ON Jul-22-25 AT 09:15 AM (EDT) CDawgVA's commentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM2kw34w0vQGeega's commentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TplX9ibsg0E Michi is going to be doing a stream at 10pm GMT+7 (which according to my calculations is about 11 AM US Eastern Time) talking about it. oh my gods. According to KSON on her stream: "Kson was planning to leave VShojo on July 31st due to being owed a significant amount of earnings as well. She has not been paid out any streaming earnings since Oct of LAST YEAR." Transcript image:
The amount of support for Mouse and the rest of VShojo talent is insane. Of course, there's also the asshole brigade (bringing up the accusations against Apricot for cheating, deliberately reading the acronym of the Immune Deficiency Foundation as less positive expansion of "IDF"), who hopefully will have tungsten rods dropped on them from orbit. Edited: From Apricot (OK, Froot) on "it's still Twitter to me": "Thinking about the time someone at Vshojo copyright struck a video under my name without my knowledge and I had to take the hit for it. It was a mistake but I never got to say anything publicly and I still don’t know who it was" And then later: "My heart aches for the talent and the hard working talent staff who worked tooth and nail to let us be heard" From CDawgVA: "Well vshojo better get cycling and start raising some money." From Henya: "I will be streaming tomorrow and explaining my situation and my future plans Thank you guys so much for helping and supporting me I love you guys so much dayo! 明日配信内にて私の状況とこれからの事について配信します、心配かけてごめんね、みんな本当にありがとう" From Geega: "while everyone is busy farming their hit tweets I want to remind you to support the talents, keep it positive, and if the info didn't come from one of us, someone saw that shit in a spice dream and made it the fuck up" From Zentreya: "Some of you have questions that I can’t legally answer. But please know it wasn’t for me to bring to light. But it is fucked up and I am upset. And you have the right as well. I can’t disclose info at this time but know that I am angry with you all. I’m angry as much as you are * Sorry, mistyped , just clarifying" This is an intense, incredible shitshow. -- Jen Dantes - Darth Mephron Haberdasher to Androids, Dark Lady of Sith Tech Support. I'm just thinking of all the kudos and good will that the company has received in the past year alone for being a safe harbor for refugees from a certain black vtuber company...and it's all gone due to what is looking more and more like unbridled greed. Stealing from talents is bad, but stealing half a mil from a charity? Yeah, no, the VShojo dream is over.

One good thing has come of this debacle: the Tiltify donation link Mouse set up under her video has, in less than two days, raised more money than the amount VShojo was supposed to donate to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. At time of writing, the total stands at more than $550,000.VShojo's stated goal was to put creators first: their needs, their passions, their interests. Though the company betrayed that goal, it's gratifying to see that the fan community it built up has not. --- "She's old, she's lame, she's barren too, // "She's not worth feed or hay, // "But I'll give her this," - he blew smoke at me - // "She was something in her day." -- Garnet Rogers, Small Victory FiMFiction.net: we might accept blatant porn involving the cast of My Little Pony but as God is my witness we have standards.

If I wasn't reasonably sure she'd work herself to death trying to run it singlehanded, I'd suggest that Dokibird expand on the operational framework she's been building for herself to provide a sort of no-kill shelter for all the other ex-agency refugees that the industry's seen in the last 18 months or so.Heck, she and Dooby could join forces to make it happen. The company would be called Double D Industries. I'm sorry, I don't control this brain, I just live somewhere within it. --G. -><- Benjamin D. It's interesting that this all appears to have happened in the last year, with somebody having said that there was a certain manager who moved from one agency to another and was being a shit at the new place. No names were said, but there was a clear (to me anyway) implication that they moved to VShojo. I really do wonder if it actually coincides with anything...

Only problem with that theory is that Veibae is making allegations (which Nyanners seems to be backing up) that she, Silver, and Nyan were not paid for their sponsorship deals for over two years. And that when it came time to sign new contracts, the lawyers the company provided were unlicensed, they were isolated and pressured to sign, and when they finally got their own lawyers they discovered the contracts were worse than those they'd signed in 2021 which is why all three left. We're at that stage of the story where all the dirty laundry starts getting aired now that everybody's decided the company is cooked and thus there's no reason to fear the lawyers anymore.

>Yup. As is so often the case, the moment one person goes loud with >their problems, everyone else goes 'wait WHAT' and starts comparing >notes. Then the entire house of cards comes down FAST. I think it was the nature of the problem that really blew the lid off this whole business. As noted above, Matara, Geega, & Zen all announced they were leaving and cited problems with payments to merch suppliers and implied that payments of other kinds were also on the list of grievances. Yet it wasn't until Mousey said she was leaving because they stole $500K from a charity that folks seemed to realize that these asshats were greedy beyond just shorting their talents with IOUs.

And now joining the tea spilling is Sayu with a tale of how she pitched Gunrun the "Vtuber Rescue Shelter" idea at a time when she was preparing to bail Niji and he was dealing with the fallout from the Vei/Nyan/Silver fiasco. Only for the prick to ghost her as soon as she was "terminated" by Riku and use her proposal to rehabilitate VShojo's reputation.
