Fun fact: since the above post was made, probably because it's featured on Emo-mei's shirt, the specific "jagged teeth and red eyes" one has received its own name and tag (nightmare_(nanashi_mumei))... but the general "Mumei's horror painting" one remains, because she's done so many others that could fall under that heading.

Our owl is, as the saying goes, just built different. :)

Perhaps more surprising was Nodoka’s sudden (and unannounced?) addition to Hologra just over a week ago~

Did we even know she had a 3D model before that?

Edit: for those who may not know, A-Chan (basically “Girl A”, the Japanese version of Jane Doe, that everyone has simply accepted as Her Name) is Tokino Sora’s real Life friend who helped her in the early days. I don’t know if she’s ACTUALLY a Hololive staff member or merely an ascended companion with a kayfabe, but it seems likely to me that relative newcomer Nodoka actually is one.

A-chan (or, as the Japanese fans call her, Yūjin A, literally "Friend A") and Nodoka are, indeed, actual Cover employees. A-chan isn't any specific holomem's manager, but she does Manager Things for the company (her official title is something like "head of talent", which my brain parses as being akin to "dean of students" :), and I think Nodoka works in what a US company would call "marketing communications"—she manages the company's mobile app, among other things.

It's lowkey but A-Chan is actually fairly high up in Cover at this point from seniority and it's funny as hell when it comes out, such as when triggered by a misunderstanding of EN's common euphemism.

Years of being knee-deep in the Holo fandom (especially HoloGra) has left me thinking of Yagoo as the eccentric, yet long-suffering boss who forever despairs over his lost dream, A-chan as the over-stressed and under-paid underling who regularly finds herself swept up in the madness, and Nodoka-san as the hapless intern who is sweet and kind yet totally in over her head.

It reminds me of the titular character from Lisa Frankenstein, which is... A Movie. That I saw. A ... zombie rom-com, basically. It is almost painfully 80's. At one point Lisa dons an outfit that looks a lot like Mumei's.

As I leaned over and commented to my wife, however:

"Oh, c'mon, putting glasses on her is not fucking fair!"
