Jesus Christ! I really hope she’s not pushing herself to be back. She SOUNDS fine - better than half of the girls do before noon, really - but I still worry about these workaholics. From the sound of things, half of them don’t even take the breaks and vacations that Cover *wants* them to. And then there’s friggin Calli...

As another YouTube comment observed, exploding pancreas is at least less bad than exploding appendix, which is what some people were afraid it was.

I think she means it in the same way that, for example, Anakin Skywalker brought balance to the Force.

For the record, I think he *did* do that, just in a rather more roundabout fashion. Anakin returned when he came to Luke's rescue against the Emperor, and his death caused the events which led to the Emperor's final defeat.

The Jedi, as they were known before, are now gone. All that's left are people who are only partially trained, and not all that concerned about the possibility of corruption.

The Jedi Order feared and hated the dark side, and it made them easier to turn - they thought that by succumbing once it meant they were irredeemable, because that's basically what the Order told them. Yoda said it best, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering. By fearing the Dark Side so much, it led to the suffering of countless people.

Rey has been left with the most ancient jedi texts, and had no fear of the Dark side, just those who abused it. We don't know what happened to everyone else, but, Ezra's dabbled in the dark and learned about the concept of there being a point between and separate from Light and Dark, and Ashoka was *thoroughly* disenchanted with the Order. (And a certain babbu has a Mandalorian mercenary as a role model)

Basically, the only way to bring balance to the force was to more or less clear the playing field and start over, and that all started with Anakin. He was Sarah Connor in the whole scenario.

Well that was basically her plan at the beginning of her Skyrim run: "I'm going to get rid of all the thieves in Skyrim by stealing everything myself so there's nothing for anybody else to steal!"

In a strange turn of events, the International Police ends up hiring Advent to run down and capture their completely off-the-chain "super cops"

So as part of the collab between Hololive and the LA Dodgers, our favorite Goob got to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch.

The team then went on to score 4 unanswered runs and beat the Brewers.

A few days ago, there was a big Crab Game collab from all across HoloEN, and at one point Gigi said "if I was ever in that situation, I think I'd just start eating people", which got Shiori to reply "Cannibalism? Let's go!".

Fast forward to today, Shiori is doing a chatting Twitter Space, and I used my "you've been a member to the channel for X months" chat to ask "would we ever see a collab from Shiori and Gigi, the Cannibalism Pals?" Upon reading my chat, Shiori said she'd been thinking about doing a stream about cannibalism, and since Gigi and Fauna were talking about it during that collab, she might drag them in too.

So yeah, maybe credit or maybe blame, depending on how cursed this ends up being if it does happen.

I imagine the other girls will be making the distinction of whether Shiori and Gigi "invite them to X restaurant" vs. "have them for dinner" from now on.

I wonder if Gigi knows how to cook? It'd be a terrible waste to subject the Long Pig to Shiori's cooking skills.

I didn't do a lot of sleeping last night for Medical Reasons, but I did find the time to have a mildly epic dream in which the members of Hololive English were transported to a setting that was having some kind of revolution against tyranny, à la Persona 5 Tactica. They rewrote "Connect the World" into a revolutionary anthem, all I can remember of now is that the first line changed to "We're ready to smash the state." :)

Every dang time I see that song mentioned, my brain replaces it with "Tell Your World", probably because the latter is about connecting the world through the power of music.

EDIT: Having listened to the EN version of Our Bright Parade a few times now, I keep expecting the beginning to go "Parade, parade parade; It's time to take a stand", as if it were a protest song.

When I was just a little thing, I used to love parades,
With banners, bands, and red balloons, and maybe lemonade;
When I came home one May Day, my neighbor's father said:
"Them marchers is all Commies! Kid, tell me, are you a Red?"

Roughly the same manner of arrival too, in manner if not in scale.

Tangentially related, I want to see fanart of Cecilia as a Eversor Assassin from Warhammer 40k- Eversors fall into the trope of "Killing everyone who might possibly have seen me is like being stealthy, right?", which seems to be her style.

I might even try drawing her myself, but my art skills are mediocre at best

When you consider how hostile Japanese fans get to hearing their particular oshi is in engaged in a romantic relationship, imagine how livid they must be that Subaru was impregnated and gave birth live on stream*!

*Context: This happened on the Ark: Survival Evolved Hololive server and involved Subaru's character getting "impregnated" by and giving "birth" to the baby version of the game's equivalent of a xenomorph.

From what I saw when Kaela did a walkthrough before the actual game time, it’s a cross between Squid Game/Crab Game and a Snakes and Ladders board, where teams try to ascend the board to reach the end, and when they land on particular squares, a minigame is triggered (by Kaela) that they compete in, and depending on win/loss, they move further forward, stay in place, or move backwards. And, of course, Kaela went and built and programmed all this herself. (or maybe just paid for it out of pocket, as far as I know.)

Not just had it done as a teenager, worked her ass off in part-time jobs to afford the procedure. Other vtubers have told horror stories about being teenage women working in these sorts of jobs, Ao holds it up as a matter of pride that she put herself through that misery just to be baby smooth from the neck down.

What especially amuses me about this clip is when the algorithm popped it up in my feed, the title made me assume it was a typical "I'm cool with fan-art, but..." video. Possibly even a Marine-style "I love NSFW fan-art, but not..." video stating her dislike of certain fetish works. Alerting the fan-artists that it's polished marble down there was definitely not on my bingo card.
