My brain had another of its fandom car crash moments, serving me up the drunken crime spree scene from the ME3: Citadel DLC only with Calli instead of Grunt.

I mean there is that, but I still think luck plays an important part- a lot of the traditional "idol camo" like the facemask, big coat and big glasses combo would draw more attention than anything. I mean if anything, doing a Kronii cosplay in that situation might hide her better- "Well of course, I'm good at her voice, I am perfect after all!"

This year's Countdown Live didn't feature a Shuffle Medley, alas, but did expand all of the Hololive original songs from solos or duets to trios at minimum. Special mention goes to "BIBBIDIBA", performed by Miko, Zeta, and Nerissa because Suisei was already booked to perform at a different New Year's event. Also notable is the giant Yagoo statue robot... thing that acted as a set piece for several numbers before exploding into fireworks at midnight.

So if you hadn't heard, Kronii's YT account got hacked yesterday by some crypto scammers only for COVER's management squad to shut it down with amazing haste and remove all traces.

Well, Kronii being Kronii, she decided to host a stream tonight to take advantage of the publicity.

And it was...certainly something.

I have to admit, part of me hates cryptobros and all their works so intensely that even making fun of them feels like giving them too much exposure, so I find myself unable to be fully on board with making this a running joke. But don't let that stop you if you're into it! That's just me being old and grumpy.

Weirdly, this is the second time something like that has happened in, like... a week? Vtubers I follow jumping on a joke that my personal baggage predisposes me against, I mean. The first was Nerissa's office lady outfit leading instantly into a wholesale lean-in on the "workplace sexual harassment" gag, which... yeah, no. I've encountered a situation like that in real life, long ago. The standard "hurr hurr" reaction when it happens to men notwithstanding, it's not funny; it's not sexy; it's just gross. :/

Well, in the "first as comedy, then as farce" spirit, someone actually created a $Kronni meme coin after her stream and it was still trading as of earlier today. I wouldn't be surprised if a $Moripromise or $Jchad coin has gone live by now.

Never having seen any of Watame's vlog series, the phrase "Have a nice day" used in connection with her always makes me imagine her in Akihabara, wearing a dark grey suit.

In other news, Moona's family owns a durian orchard. Durian is by no means my favourite fruit, but I do enjoy it (which I gather is deeply unusual for someone with literally no SEA ancestry). I should check if Niko has tried it on-stream; normal tigers apparently love the stuff.

EDIT: Rather than singing or dancing it, Chihaya plays "BIBBIDIBA" on trombone.

Ina revealed the 3.0 version of her Live2D model today (and Mumei will be doing so shortly as of press time). While Ina's was going on, YT had one of its little Moments that require me to stop and restart the stream, and... what a frame to freeze on.

(POV: you're me and she's mad at you for getting becalmed on her bit of Mythic Dawn. :/ )

She was quick to assure Mumei today that she just picked one of the preset faces and made a few "tweaks," so it's sort of open to interpretation. But it is something to be cautious about considering some of the skeevy shit stalkers are getting up to...

So apparently "RTX On" is the next Hololive trend as Ollie, Moona, Biboo, Kobo, & Iofi have done streams since Kiwawa's playing with inZOI's character creator and motion-capture features.

No points will be rewarded for guessing that the Holobrats both got angry with their chats for suggesting they should stick with the child models, though Biboo only has herself to blame for admitting the "small" adult size was still too tall to be accurate.

I had to laugh when Biboo said "we'll be raiding in to Kronii's outfit debut, so that's the time limit for this stream"- at the point where she said it, the debut was 4 hours away . . . which puts it on the shorter end of Biboo streams
